Twenty One Pilots' rise to the top
Twenty One Pilots are an American duo formed in 2009 and originating from Columbus, Ohio. The two members are Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun and, after putting their music career on hold for a while, the duo self-released their first LPs Twenty One Pilots (2009) and Regional at Best (2011). They quickly gained the attention of music insiders and soon signed for Fueled by Ramen in 2012. 2013 saw the debut major-label release of a Twenty One Pilots album - Vessel. However, it was the 2015 record Blurryface that changed everything for Twenty One Pilots. The album would go on to sell over 7 million copies worldwide as the group shattered chart records and sold out concerts to fans around the world. Songs like "Stressed Out" have been streamed millions of times and the group show no signs of slowing down.
Now, in 2018, Twenty One Pilots are back with a new album which they will be hoping will be every bit as successful as Blurryface. The new album release date is set for October 5 and there have been two singles already released from Trench, the new Twenty One Pilots album. "Jumpsuit" and "Nico and the Niners" have been released and more will surely follow.
