Steve Aoki—superstar EDM DJ
One of the most entertaining live acts in the dance music world, the Grammy-nominated Steve Aoki established his status as a superstar DJ during the EDM boom of the early ‘10s. Check out the range of Steve Aoki tickets available to buy or sell on StubHub.
The ultimate party-starter
Steve Aoki first made a name for himself behind the scenes, forming Dim Mak Records, a label that would go on to launch the careers of Bloc Party and The Kills, and remixing everyone from Michael Jackson to The Killers. He began to take centre stage in 2009 with his single "I’m in the House", a loud and proud EDM anthem that positioned him as the ultimate party-starter DJ. The Japanese-American released his Grammy-nominated debut album, "Wonderland", three years later, and followed it up with 2014’s "Neon Future I", its 2015 sequel "Neon Future II" and 2017’s "Steve Aoki Presents Kolony". Aoki has recruited several star names to join him in the studio over the years, including Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo, reggaeton hero Daddy Yankee and One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson, and in 2018 he added the likes of Lady Antebellum, Blink-182 and Bill Nye the Science Guy to this list on a third volume of his "Neon Future" series. Champagne spraying and cake throwing
Steve Aoki has graced some of the biggest dance music festivals in the world since his rise to fame, including the Electric Daisy Carnival in Orlando, Tomorrowland in Belgium and the Ultra Music Festival in Croatia. And it’s on the live stage where Aoki truly comes alive. Fans should expect to hear plenty of four-to-the-floor bangers, including his collaborations with BTS ("Waste It on Me"), Linkin Park ("A Light That Never Comes") and Kid Ink ("Delirious") as well as several of his most popular remixes. But the thumping basslines, booming beats and epic drops are only part of the Steve Aoki live experience. The mischievous DJ is renowned for his entertaining stunts while performing, whether it’s spraying bottles of champagne, crowd surfing, riding an inflatable raft over the audience’s heads or, most famously, throwing cakes at willing fans. Throw in state-of-the-art lighting and dazzling 3D imagery and you have one of the most entertaining DJ sets you’re ever likely to encounter. You can both buy and sell Steve Aoki tickets on StubHub.
