Seether background
Hailing from South Africa, Seether are Shaun Morgan (vocals, guitar), Dale Stewart (bass) and John Humphrey (drums). The band was founded in 1999 and originally performed under the name Saron Gas until, in 2002, they moved to the USA and changed their name to Seether. The group released their debut album Fragile in 2010 and, despite heavy metal not being a popular genre in South Africa, the album achieved considerable success. The major label debut for Seether was Disclaimer (2002), which included Seether songs like "Fine Again", "Driven Under" and "Gasoline". This was followed by intesene touring on the hugely popular Ozzfest tour, performing with the likes of Slayer & System of a Down, delaying the release of the next Seether album. Since the release of Disclaimer, Seether have released six further studio albums: Discalimer II (2004), Karma and Effect (2005), Finding Beauty in Negative Spaces (2007), Holding Onto Strings Better Left to Fray (2011), Isolate and Medicate (2014) and the new Seether album Poison the Parish (2017).
