San Diego Padres
The San Diego Padres are one of four expansion teams added to MLB in 1969 (the others are Kansas City Royals, Seattle Pilots, and Montreal Expos). Twice winners of the National League Pennant in 1984 and 1998, they are still waiting for their first World Series title. As of 2017, the Padres are the only major professional sports team located in San Diego. San Diego Padres tickets are always in high demand, so don't miss out on your chance to watch a ballgame in the Southern Californian sun.
Petco Park - Home of the San Diego Padres
The 'Friars' play their home games at one of MLB's most picturesque stadiums. Petco Park was recently named by USA Today as the best stadium in MLB, saying: "From the expansive views of the downtown San Diego skyline, to the vast local beer and food options, to the perfect weather, Perco Park is everything MLB teams should want for their ballparks". High praise indeed. The stadium was opened in 2004 and has a capacity of just over 40,000. In their first MLB game at the new stadium, the Padres defeated Californian rivals the San Fransisco Giants 4-3.
