Meet an incredible South Korean-Japanese girl band
IZ*ONE came into being as a result of the "Produce 48" reality competition run by Mnet in South Korea, during which the final 12 group members (out of an original total of 96 contestants) were voted for by the audience. The resulting girl group had both Korean and Japanese members, who collaborated together on their first EP release, "Color*Iz". The lead single on the EP, "La Vie en Rose", charted on World Digital Songs almost immediately, leading to the group receiving several new "Artist of the Year" awards at ceremonies such as the Golden Disc Awards and Seoul Music Awards. The band held their debut concert in South Korea in 2018 and the tickets sold out almost immediately. Given their huge popularity, it’s worth looking out for IZ*ONE tickets so that when they come up on the StubHub website you’ll be able to take advantage and purchase your tickets immediately. Make sure you don’t miss out on a thrilling performance by this talented band!
From Korea to Japan - IZ*ONE’s debut continues
IZ*ONE’s Japanese debut took place in the early months of 2019. By this stage they had signed a contract with the EMI record label in Japan and their single "Suki to Iwasetai" was launched in February of the same year, after being promoted at their debut show in Tokyo. Their music is a combination of k-pop and j-pop that results in a blend of electro-pop sounds with ambient synths and melodic vocals, creating a feeling of delicacy but adding an element of strength and power at the same time. While the aim of the "Produce 48" show is to create a "temporary pop group" that it will support for a period of 2½ years, it seems that IZ*ONE is around to stay for the long-term. If you too would like to see this Korean-Japanese pop group in action, check out IZ*ONE tickets on StubHub now. And don’t forget to have a look at other groups like Girls Generation, or TVXQ.
