Baltimore Orioles History
The Orioles have a long and proud history. Founded in 1894 as the Milwaukee Brewers, the franchise spent over 50 years in St Louis before moving to Baltimore. The Orioles were one of the American League's original franchises when the league was founded in 1901. The team had their period of greatest success from in the 60s, 70s and 80s, where they won 3 World Series (and made 6 appearances). In total the Orioles have won 7 Pennants and 9 division titles. Camden Yards
The Orioles play their home games at the famed and much-praised Camden Park. The stadium was the first of the 'retro' stadiums that were built in the 90s and early 2000s, using bricks, green seats and green-painted exposed steel with fans loving this classic look. The stadium has a capacity of nearly 46,000 and is situated in Downtown Baltimore near the inner harbour.
